Creativity is not the possession of some special talent. It’s the willingness to play.Every object has a story.
A rusty key. A broken toy. An old drawer pull. A forgotten photograph. Most people see things that have outlived their usefulness. We see possibilities.
Our assemblage art camp begins with objects that have been lost, discarded, overlooked, or simply waiting for a second chance. We gather treasures from flea markets, barns, attics, junk drawers, and dusty corners, each carrying its own history, mystery, and memories. We then assist you in creating your own assemblage piece out of the tens of thousands of vintage pieces we have in our ‘Eden of Art ‘barn.
Then the magic begins.
Pieces that have never met suddenly find themselves in conversation with one another. A gear becomes a moon. A spoon becomes a bird’s wing. A rusty hinge becomes part of a dream. Through imagination, humor, and a little creative alchemy, these forgotten objects are transformed into whimsical sculptures, visual stories, and works of art that invite people to look closer and wonder.
No experience or artistic talent required— just bring your curiosity and a playful spirit!
No pressure. No rules. Just creative joy.
Participants will also have the opportunity to exhibit their finished piece in a group show at the Corner Gallery in Ukiah!
What we love most is not just creating the art—it’s giving new life to things that once seemed finished. Every assemblage becomes a celebration of reinvention, reminding us that beauty, meaning, and surprise can be found in the most unexpected places.
In a world that throws so much away, we delight in rescuing the overlooked and turning yesterday’s objects into tomorrow’s stories. That’s the heart of what we do. It’s not just art—it’s discovery, imagination, and a little bit of magic.
