Sip, shop and take a walk at Testa in Redwood Valley! Their Ranch Walk is open daily during business hours to all patrons. Start at Testa Coffee & Wine Shop where you can grab a coffee or glass of wine, then check in with their friendly staff to start your adventure! They’ll provide a map and details for your walk-about. This self-guided, family-friendly stroll winds through Testa’s scenic vineyard where you’ll meet all of our farm animals, including our newest (and fluffiest) addition, Moose the Highland bull.
Hendy Woods State Park is located in Philo – part of Anderson Valley – along the Navarro River. It is known for its old-growth coast redwoods. The park’s facilities include several miles of hiking trails, including a wheelchair-accessible trail through the redwoods, making it a fantastic outdoor adventure for the whole family. With 25 picnic sites along the Navarro river banks and two campgrounds amongst redwood groves, there are over 90 campsites, plus four cabins…and plenty of room to roam.

MacKerricher State Park offers a variety of habitats: beach, bluff, headland, dune, forest and wetland. Explore various tidepools, watch seals lounging just off the park’s coastline, do some birding, or traverse the park on horseback. During winter and spring, the nearby headland provides a good lookout for whale watching. The park is popular with hikers, joggers, equestrians and bicyclists. The park also has a wheelchair-accessible nature trail, and has numerous campsites. While less than five miles north of Fort Bragg, MacKerricher feels like another magical world.
Mendocino Headlands State Park with its unique blend of gentle trails, rugged coastline, secluded beaches and timeless history, surrounds the picturesque town of Mendocino on three sides. Miles of trails wind along the cliffs, giving the casual explorer spectacular views of sea arches and hidden grottos. In any season, a visit to the Mendocino Headlands will provide a memorable experience. You might come to see the spring wildflowers, enjoy a crisp and clear fall day, escape to a cool summer climate or witness the winter migration of grey whales.
The Noyo Headlands is multi-use, ADA-accessible, 8-ft wide trail spanning nearly the entirety of Fort Bragg. With both a paved and gravel surface, the trail offers spectacular views along its winding path. Unique benches made by local artists and woodworkers dot the trail, offering cozy spots to sit for a spell. Take the family, have one-on-one time, or make it a solo jaunt with your four-legged pal. Noyo Headlands also offers a longer hike as this trail connects to MacKerricher State Park to the north and Pomo Bluffs to the south.
View a sky that you’ve never seen before. The Gualala River Redwood Park’s forests are fantastic places for stargazing, walks, hikes, and family fun. The dark skies at night are not only great for stargazers; many woodland species such as birds, bats, moths, and insects add to the ambiance with their night music. Disconnect and explore this magical area – you’ll find a greater connection to the natural world.
Founded in 2023, Mendocino Lavender & Pollinator Garden is part of the next generation of the family farm at Foursight Wines. They grow 2.5 acres and six varieties of lavender, offering farm tours, gifts, and more! You’ll also find a large native plant garden for exploring. Farm tours are available June – August, or self-guided year-round. While this is a family-friendly attraction, you can always grab a glass of wine before your tour while you stroll the gardens.
The Mendocino Stone Ranch is a unique 50-acre estate on the south coast of Mendocino County. This unique property features over 30 captivating stone installations for visitors to explore. The Stone Ranch offers guided tours of the property and stonework on the first Sunday of every month from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. For those they would like to explore the property longer, they have a rental house and yurt for overnight stays. Discover this magical property!
