4.
Sea Pal Cove Restaurant

For a more relaxed, low-key bite, try this rugged-but-right local favorite, where you can relax with an ice-cold, locally-brewed beer, enjoy some fish and chips, and watch the fishing boats sail in and out of the harbor.

5.
Gualala Seafood Shack

Word to the wise: don’t sleep on Mendocino’s South Coast, also known as its banana belt for the unseasonably sunny weather. In the little town of Gualala – as for pronunciation, opinions differ – this is a great casual stop for a local rockfish burrito or a crab Louie salad.
