Anderson Valley Brewing Company
Anderson Valley Brewing Company was created by founder Dr. Kenneth Allen, with the idea to simply produce the best tasting, highest quality ales possible. He began pilot brewing to home his original recipes, while also designing the brewpub, including its 10-barrel brewing system. Once completed, the Buckhorn Saloon, with stunning valley views on all sides, housed the taproom and resturant on it's second floor and the small brewery below.
Over the years, as demand for our ales has grown, we have too. We moved to a 30 acre plot at the south end of town, where we've grown in stages; first a 30 barrel brewhouse in 1997, which saw us through a dramatic period of growth, then our current Bavarian-style brewhouse, built in 2000, with large windows to showcase its gleaming 85 and 100 barrel copper brew kettles, rescued just days before being scrapped, from two closed German breweries.
In 2003, the construction of our Visitor Center begun.
Today, a visit to the Anderson Valley Brewing Company begins at the Visitor Center, offering a taproom, beer garden, space for private events, and giftshop. Visitors can enjoy a friendly pint or two at the bar, or sample the full range of brews on tap. One can arrange a brewery tour or even hike the entire property as they play eighteen holes on the brewer's one-of-a-kind disc golf course.
We currently do not serve food, feel free to bring food to eat in our Visitor Center or the brewery grounds.Drop by sometime, and see all we have to offer. We think you'll agree, there's no other brewery like this.
