Mendocino Woodlands State Park

707-937-5755

Little Lake Road, Mendocino, CA, 95460

The Park is a National Historic Landmark built in the 1930s and is nestled in 700 acres of redwood trees, ferns, and glades along both sides of the Little North Fork of the Big River in Northern California, near the coastal village of Mendocino. The Park is open seasonally from April to November for group camping only and consists of three large, private, rustic campgrounds, each with cabins and a dining/recreation hall for camps from 30 to 250 people. Twenty-five miles of hiking trails in and around the Park, an open meadow, a large beaver pond, river otters, deer, fox, and other flora and fauna complete the magic of the Woodlands. Each year, many different groups use the Woodlands to hold events and retreats. Perhaps it’s most well known for the Lark Music Camp, held each August, which features over 100 of the finest music and dance instructors from many cultures.
