Anderson Valley

A popular route into coastal Mendocino County involves taking picturesque and windy Highway 128 from Cloverdale westward. Begin by snaking through the Yorkville Highlands, known by the cognoscenti as “Les Petits Tetons,” and on to Boonville, the “bahlest” town in the county. Here, you can pick up a picnic, stop for a brew at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company, or visit the goats at Pennyroyal Farm. Continue to the coast with a whistle-stop in Poleeko (Philo in Boontling) and through a tunnel of towering trees along the Navarro River. While you’re here though, stop and appreciate the good life found in this verdant and abundant land.
