DESCRIPTION:In October Partners is presenting a show of large acrylic paintings by Virginia Sharkey called “Terra.” She says: \n“My subject is what underlies us on this physical plane:\nwhat holds us up. it may be called earth\, duff\, dust clods muck or the stuff under our feet. or as scientists say ‘This is not dirt: it is a living organism called soil.” At any rate\, these paintings are explorations and metaphors for what’s underneath us\, our ground and the idea of growth.” \nThe show opens October 8 and continues through November 9.\nThere’s a Second Saturday Meet the Artist October 10\, 5-7pm. \nThe gallery is located at 45062 Ukiah Street\, Mendocino.\nHours are Thursday – Monday\, 11 am to 4 pm\nwww.partnersgallery.com
