Terra – Paintings by Virginia Sharkey

In October Partners is presenting a show of large acrylic paintings by Virginia Sharkey called “Terra.” She says:

“My subject is what underlies us on this physical plane:
what holds us up. it may be called earth, duff, dust clods muck or the stuff under our feet. or as scientists say ‘This is not dirt: it is a living organism called soil.” At any rate, these paintings are explorations and metaphors for what’s underneath us, our ground and the idea of growth.”

The show opens October 8 and continues through November 9.
There’s a Second Saturday Meet the Artist October 10, 5-7pm.

The gallery is located at 45062 Ukiah Street, Mendocino.
Hours are Thursday – Monday, 11 am to 4 pm
