Sundays in the Park: Big Blu Soul Revue

Sundays in the Park Free Concert Series is the largest and most recognized community event in Mendocino County. Since 1992, the series has thrilled the community with exceptional musical performances by artists from diverse genres including blues, classical, country, salsa, soul, rock, swing, reggae and more. Each summer, taking center stage in beautiful Todd Grove Park, six free concerts featuring world-renowned artists as well as local talent, entertain more than 20,000 music fans.Big Blu Soul Revue bring the soul of San Francisco to the live stage. With an extreme passion for 60’s and 70’s soul, funk, rhythm and blues, the band shares their music influenced by legends like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Bill Withers and many more. The band formed in 2014, by longtime Bay Area guitarist/vocalist, Jason Movrich, and is comprised of a tight group of top-notch musicians, featuring the amazing vocal powerhouse, Lydia Walker. The band’s latest release, “Tongue & Groovin’”, showcases their signature sound and displays the band’s love for classic sounds with a fresh and dynamic approach.
With a wide array of infectious dance grooves, the band’s electrifying live shows prove they are one of the hottest live acts to come out of the Bay Area music scene in many years. “Our ultimate goal is to connect with our audience, get you to feel the groove that makes you want to dance,” says Movrich.
