Sticks and Stones – Creating with Natural Materials

The impulse to record our observations, dreams and fantasies with materials close at hand is an integral part of being human. Images created by carving into rock, drawing with charcoal, ochres and chalk have given us insights into the earliest known cultures.
In this online exhibit Partners explore new possibilities by collecting natural materials to use for both process and medium. The artists are using such materials as wasp nest, bark, oak galls, seeds, turmeric powder, coffee, sticks and feathers.
