SPACE Theater Proudly Presents It’s Elemental

mendocino SPACE Theater proudly presents It’s Elemental, an electrifying and heartfelt performance featuring 40 teens and special guest performers directed by Laurel Near with Assistant Director India Frey. The script, written by Near and Devon Near-Hill, is inspired by ancient imagery of the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—and brings each element to life through stunning contemporary choreography by local and regional choreographers including Aisha Walls, Pearl Marill, India Frey, Gwendolyn van Wyk, Devon Near-Hill, Fredrika Keefer, Micaya, and Kira Gibson. Costumes are designed by the choreographers along with Deborah Phillips and Tracy Thieriot.
Under the coaching of Near, David Post, Kate Magruder, and Sandy Metzler, students will also be singing and reciting poetry, adding depth and artistry to the performance. Come early and enjoy the beautiful theater lobby display of the elements created by Kristi Ross.
