Fauré: Indian Summer at the Mendocino Music Festival

Faure wrote some of his most astonishing music in his late seventies, when he was becoming increasingly deaf. Susan Waterfall will accompany mezzo-soprano Silvie Jensen in Le jardin clos, Stephen Harrison, cello, and Daniel Lockert, piano, will play the Cello Sonata No. 2 in G minor. The program will conclude with the Ives Quartet playing the Piano Quintet No. 2 in C minor: Hrabba Atladottir, violin; Sam Weiser, violin; Susan Freier, viola; Stephen Harrison, cello; and Keisuke Nakagoshi, piano.
