Willits California is the ideal central location from which to enjoy the exceptional beauty of Mendocino County.
To the north are the majestic redwoods and the Eel River, to the south award-winning wineries, and to the west is the rugged Mendocino coast.
Willits is 20 miles North-Northwest of Ukiah on Highway 101. The Willits area is the final home of the racehorse Seabiscuit. Ridgewood Ranch, where Seabiscuit trained, recuperated, lived out his retirement and was buried, is located a few miles south of the city. Willits is also the eastern terminus of the Skunk Train and home of the Mendocino County Museum.
