The US aviation regulator has ordered the grounding of 171 Boeing 737 Max 9 planes following a mid-flight blowout over Oregon. This has resulted in flight cancellations and disruptions for thousands of passengers, primarily in the US. Other airlines have also temporarily taken their Max 9 planes out of service for checks. The decision comes after part of an Alaska Airlines plane's fuselage fell off on Friday, but no serious injuries were reported. The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
