Located in the Ukiah Valley region of Mendocino County, Redwood Valley is becoming quite well known among wine circles as a great little town where excellent California vintages are produced. The wines made here are quickly rivaling those produced in Mendocino's neighbors to the south, Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
Guests driving through the Redwood Valley should take some time to do a little tasting and savor these up-and-coming vintages. If you're fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time, you'll enjoy the annual festival entitled 'A Taste of Redwood Valley', held here each June. The festival brings together more than a dozen local wineries in a food and wine extravaganza that attracts visitors from far and wide.
You might also want to make a stop at the Coyote Valley Shodokai Casino, quite popular with those passing through the area.
