Upper Russian River Valley
The first parts of our county that you come to from the south and the Bay Area are the Russian River Valleys. Whether you come up Highway 1 or Highway 101, just across the county line from Sonoma is the beginning of Real Wine Country. You’ll discover excellent wineries, many family owned. The tasting rooms are welcoming and uncrowded. The passionate people pouring for you could well be the winemakers themselves.
