Little River
Just 2 miles south of Mendocino, is the hamlet of Little River. Little River, is home to a population of 472 lucky locals and features the Little River Airport, the Little River Inn golf course, Van Damme State Park, with beach and forest camping, the popular Fern Canyon Trail and some of the last remaining pygmy forest in the world. The park's ten miles of trail go along the fern-carpeted canyon of Little River. A paved road is used by joggers and bicyclists. The beach is popular with abalone divers.
