A confluence of chamber music and opera takes place on the Mendocino Coast on Valentine's Day. At 3 P.M. on Feb.14 the Vinca Quartet performs  works by Mozart, Zemlinsky, Schubert and Schumann in the beautiful atrium of Fort Bragg's First Presbyterian Church. At 8 P.M. Mendocino Chamber Opera stages Domenico Cimarosa's "The Secret Marriage" at the Mendocino Theater Company's Helen Shoeni Theater. It's a hilarious English version translated by the Bay Area's Donald Pippin. Performances of "The Secret Marriage" will also be held at 2 P.M. on Feb. 13 and at 8 P.M. on Feb. 12 and 19. Many Mendocino Inns are offering special Winter Rates. Please note that tickets for the Vinca Quartet can be purchased locally at Fiddles and Cameras in Fort Bragg and at Moore's books in Mendocino.
