Nestled in the picturesque Anderson Valley, Stoney Bottom is quiet and private and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops in the historic town of Boonville. This beautifully landscaped property, surrounded by vineyards, oaks and rolling hills, offers three deluxe vacation accommodations, the Suite, the Cottage and the Annex.  During your stay you can experience bird watching, creek walking and star-gazing.
 
Accommodations:
 
The Cottage, nestled in the gardens, is 540sf, with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, California King bed, gas-burning fireplace, dining and seating areas, decorated with unique furniture and original artwork.  There is a gorgeous view of the garden and a sunny private deck just outside a sliding glass door.
 
$235/night, minimum 2 night stay.  Additional transient bed tax of 11.5% will be applied. 
 
The Suite, at 640sf, offers an efficiency kitchen, single person spa tub, and access to a large deck overlooking the gardens.  There is a California King bed, a gas-burning fireplace, breakfast bar, two seating areas and it is decorated with original and antique early American furniture and antique botanical artwork.
 
$215/night, minimum 2 night stay.  Additional transient bed tax of 11.5% will be applied. 
 
The Annex is a 2080sf home which sleeps 4, which incorporates The Suite and The Garden Room/Great Room.  There is a beautiful fully appointed kitchen including dishes, pots/pans, serving pieces, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.  There is a large sectional sofa for seating with the twin bed “boxes” accommodating the two additional persons.
 
$475/night, minimum 2 night stay, $100 cleaning fee, $200 refundable security deposit.  Additional transient bed tax of 11.5% will be applied.

Check In and Cancellation Policy:

Cash or checks only, checks, payable to Virginia Valen, mail to POB 222, Boonville, CA  95415.  First night deposit required within 5 days of phone or e-mail reservation, 707-895-9424 or waldenvalen [at] pacific [dot] net. Check in 1:00pm.  Check out 1:00pm.  30-day cancellation policy:  First night deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is less than 30 days prior to confirmed booking.  No Smoking/No Pets.
 
In each accommodation, cheese, crackers and wine are provided for the first evening of your stay.  While we do not provide breakfast, ready to grind fresh coffee beans, loose and bagged teas, and milk and sugar are provided.
 
Directions:
 
North on Hwy 101, last Cloverdale Exit: Hwy 128 West Mendocino-Boonville.  Proceed through town of Boonville, turn left at Anderson Valley Way,  (Mile Marker 28.02) left again first chance. Cottage:  open the right hand gate at 13400, take gravel road to cottage, left turn-in to the red door. The Suite: use gate at 13450, circle drive to gravel pathway, enter left-most red door.
 
South on Hwy 101:  From Ukiah, exit at Hwy 253/Boonville, 16 Miles to “T” (Intersection 253/128).  Turn right.  Follow above directions through Boonville.
 
Gardens:
 
The gardens at Stoney Bottom are modeled on an English-style strolling garden with expansive lawns surrounded by distinct garden “rooms” appealing to the plant collectors’ palette. Walt Valen retired while the Director of Strybing Arboretum & Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA.  Each season offers something to delight the eye.
 
The garden at Stoney Bottom, the Garden Room of the Annex and the Pavilions are perfect sites for special events, retreats and small wedding ceremonies.  Wedding planner and contract information available upon request.

Garden Whimsy Garden Shop:  Outdoor art displayed in a spectacularly landscaped setting.  Featuring metal and ceramic garden sculpture, gate décor and succulent pots for sale.
