Real Goods Solar Living Institute
The Solar Living Center, which serves as the headquarters for the Solar Living Institute, is a world-famous demonstration site for renewable energy, green building, alternative fuels, permaculture, and sustainable living technologies visited by over 200,000 people annually. The 12-acre Solar Living Center is located 95 miles north of San Francisco on Highway 101, approximately a 2 hour drive from the Bay Area.
The Solar Living Institute (SLI) is a 501 (c)(3) educational non-profit that promotes sustainable living through inspirational environmental education. SLI's solar training and sustainable living courses are taught by experienced practitioners who bring years of real-world knowledge to the classroom with a focus on helping students prepare for jobs, start businesses and live more sustainably. The SLI has a residential internship program for young adults offering green tech and sustainability education in a seven month sessions.
In addition to our workshops, the SLI offers kids' educational tours and free tours for the general public at 11 am and 3 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please join us!

Pets are allowed on the south lawn on a leash. We also have a small dog run, so people can tie up their pets while they shop. More Images
