Little River Improvement Club (1885) & Museum (2010)

Little River Improvement Club & Museum was built in 1885 and was Little River's community center continuously until 2010 when it was converted to a Museum. Free admission. Free Pomo trail map and exhibit featuring audio of spoken Pomo language; original furnishings include chairs salvaged from ships that sank in the harbor, 1885 voting booth and flag;  genealogy of local pioneering families; Little River Cemetery map and information; National Historic Landmark Mendocino Woodlands exhibit, and local family artifacts. Gift shop and local history publications. Usually coffee, tea and cookies.

Opening hours: 
Weekends 12-4 p.m. June through October
