Grey Whale Inn
The Grey Whale Inn, built in 1915 by the Union Lumber Company, offers vacation lodging amidst comfortable and laid back Mendocino Coast elegance. The Inn, a classic architecture of old-growth redwood, is a premier bed and breakfast in historic downtown Fort Bragg. Within walking distance of a great selection of restaurants, the internationally award winning North Coast Brewery, Glass Beach, the Skunk Train, art galleries, a culinary center, and the historic downtown shopping area.
The Grey Whale Inn, although very spacious, gives one the feeling of intimacy. With only 13 accommodations spread over three floors, a small Craftsman-style dining area with lovely fireplace and lots of public areas spread throughout the inn and gardens, it’s quiet, private and best of all just plain comfortable.
The Grey Whale Inn uses only the finest ingredients in our gourmet breakfast, served daily from 8 am until 10 am in our Craftsman-style breakfast room. Our chef sees to it that everything prepared for our guest is as fresh and locally produced as possible. Herbs used in our main entrees are organically grown in our garden.
