The Attic of Mendocino
Imagine poking around in your grandparent's attic - there's a beloved bike leaning in one corner, tools, toys, and figurines in carefully packed boxes, your Aunt Mary's mementos from her trip to Russia, china, a shelf stacked with vintage quilts, your 1960s surf board hanging from the rafters, an erector set, and museum quality family heirlooms waiting to be adopted and lovingly displayed in a new home --- this is the experience that you will have at The Attic of Mendocino.
You'll find an exceptional and unusual collection of artifacts, vintage and antique, along with retro-inspired products, framed vintage black and white photos, vintage religious items, Mid-Century china and flatware, premiere quality vintage quilts and model trains, one-of-a-kind jewelry, classic Aloha shirts, and many curiosities, all carefully selected, annotated, and displayed. The Attic of Mendocino represents Sacramento-based artist W. Morris Schmidt, art by Mendocino artists Alan Ferguson and Herb Steiniger, and miniature quilts created by local artist Corrine Riley. The Attic of Mendocino also offers unique, one-of-a-kind assemblages individually created by local artists Susan and Michael Wilson.
The Attic of Mendocino is also a proud retailer of Rolf Glass, offering martini glasses, classic martini pitchers and double old fashion glasses; other styles and designs can be special ordered. "Made in America" reproduction tin signs and wall thermometers by Desperate Enterprises, Inc., are also available and rotate regularly.
The Attic of Mendocino is excited to offer custom-made pocket puffs to add additional flair to your suit or sport jacket for any occasion. Created locally, we use vintage fabrics and can provide exclusive, one-of-kind pocket puffs for the wedding party from existing fabric to match the color scheme or made from family keepsake fabric. We can also include wedding information, a toast, and/or a photo of the bride and groom.
Recognizing the importance of community outreach in the Mendocino area, we are offering a special selection of antique and vintage items to support the Kelley House Museum. In addition, many unique and one-of-a-kind items are offered through our local consignment program. Please stop by for further information!
